Why alternative?
Alternative (definition) - The possibility of choosing between two or more options.
Alternative means that you, the dog’s owner, have the possibility to choose between
different levels, ways and styles in your dog’s education. There is no predetermined
scheme. You will create your own individual education method. The foundation of our
method is constructed to allow you to develop an education for your dog based on your
own innovation and intuition. The dog's obedience depends on you and your actions.
We do not force our methods on people, rather we try to convince them why they work
through demonstration. But, ultimately the decision is always your own. As a dog trainer,
creating a working relationship between human and dog, one has to be open and flexible.
Every human is unique and likewise every dog is too. Therefor every unique relationship
between dog and master also requires a unique education. The figuration between dog
and master are multiple and variable – that is what makes our methods alternative.
Oh, yes... of course because we are also non-conservative
The concept
An educated dog is not necessarily an obedient dog. Only through the education of both
dog and owner it is possible to achieve the desired level of obedience. Whereby, in most
cases, the owner has more to learn than the dog. A dog is without problems. Problems
are the owners burden. They are caused by the dogs behaviour, but they are not his
problems but ours. A good dog training school, like this one, not only treats the problems
themselves but also the root cause of those problems.
When do we begin
The education of a dog should begin at the moment you bring him into your home. Do
not make the mistake of thinking that a dog has to be of certain age to be educated. We
modify every dogs education to adapt accordingly to the dog's age and the mental and
physical characteristics associated with the dogs age.
We do not deal with the dog's enslavement by arbitrary measure in his education, but
with his integration in the family-"pride". That requires the sense and sensibility with
willingness for dialog from both, the owner and the dog.
Our school and trainers are equipped to train the full spectrum of young and old dogs,
from as puppies as young as 10 weeks to adult dogs aging 10 years and older.
Who should take part?
Every member of the family, which is interested in creating a harmonic relationship with
the dog should take part in the education of the dog.
